We recently had the privilege of hosting Henry, an incredibly inspiring 16 year old kid at Blanco Bungalow.

While Henry’s story is not ours to tell, what I can say is that the obstacles this kid has overcome are nothing short of incredible.

One of the highlights was watching his surfing journey unfold. Every day, he took lessons with the incredible team at Ericeira Surf School, whose patience, encouragement, and belief in Henry never wavered.

Watching Henry light up in the water, with the biggest smile on his face, was something none of us will forget. Every wave he caught felt like a celebration.

Watching Henry in the water, it was impossible not to think about how often people are underestimated and told what they can’t do. Yet there was Henry, out in the ocean, doing something that most people would be scared to try.

We were left feeling inspired not just by Henry, but by the love, dedication, and bond from his family, especially his mom:)

WTF is Enotourism?
Enotourism is traveling to experience wine culture.
But not just drinking wine, learning about it, meeting the people who make it, understanding the land it comes from.

At Blanco Bungalow, our version of enotourism is centered around something we care deeply about: Natural, organic, and biodynamic Portuguese wine.

Most people think enotourism means visiting a winery. But to us, it’s so much more than that. It’s meeting the Meeting winemakers, tasting straight from the barrel, walking the vineyards, Learning their unique process and Discovering the stories behind the bottles.

Our natural wine shop, features a curated collection of exclusively natural, organic, and biodynamic wines from independent producers.

Throughout the summer, we host a series of wine tastings called Unfiltered Afternoons. Relaxed tastings on the farm.
As guests, we connect you with some of our favourite independent wineries off the beaten path, the ones you won’t find on a tour bus.

Want to go deeper? Visit us during harvest season in September & October and participate in the harvest. Work along side the winemakers, enjoy family meals in the vineyard, and leave with dirty hands, a full heart and experiences to last a lifetime.

One of the things we’re most passionate about is helping guests understand what makes natural Portuguese wine so special. The limestone-rich soils of our region. The sandy vineyards of nearby Colares that survived phylloxera, and the producers keeping age old traditions alive. The unique Jurassic landscapes that shape every bottle.
And of course the grapes: Arinto, Fernão Pires, Castelão, Baga, Touriga Nacional, Encruzado.

Whether we’re hosting a tasting, recommending a bottle, or arranging a unique winery visit…. Our goal is to give guests access to a side of Portugal most visitors never get to experience, while also supporting these incredible farmers.

Because at the end of the day… We care about preserving native grapes, local traditions, and healthy land for future generations.

And honestly…We just love good wine.

Summer is in full bloom here in Portugal🌵🌺

For us that means we are in full on entertaining mode. We just finished a month long visit from family where we got to take them wine tasting, horseback riding, to incredible restaurants, playing tour guide in Lisbon, taking in sunsets at the beach and just enjoying the farm.

There’s nothing like summertime in Portugal🌞

Today we took some of our guests from Blanco Bungalow on the most incredible horseback ride along the beach. 🌊

It’s one of our favorite experiences we offer here at the farm because it’s truly for everyone, even complete beginners.

The ride takes you along the famous Supertubos surf beach, and Ricardo makes the whole experience feel so comfortable, relaxed, and fun. One of those memories from Portugal you’ll never forget.
