After a disappointing start to the week, with losing the Norfolk matchplay final to Nic Cains 3 & 1, the week got better...

After a disappointing start to the week, with losing the Norfolk matchplay final to Nic Cains 3 & 1, the week got better with a level par 69 and 3rd place at Bungay Golf Club pro am, and finishing today on a high note with a 2 under par 70 winning the Norfolk PGA pro am at Kings Lynn Golf Club.

Not quite the 2 rounds I was hoping for.......but an what an amazing experience !
Valuable lessons learnt and loads of self belief and confidence gained.
Thanks to Lewis for carrying the bag,and a few litres of water, for 2 rounds in that heat 👍

A day that started with little expectation, rain and wind, on a golf course I hadn’t played before, and looked a million yards !!! Ended in qualifying for a European Seniors event at the London Club ! Will be nice to rub shoulders with some great names and careers ! I’m sure they will be quaking in their boots, I know I will be in mine 😂

A few months have passed by since my last post - can’t believe it is July already .... after a disappointing Senior tour qualifier in Portugal (Jan 18) - the run of bad scores continued in the UK throughout the spring with.... The Bedford - Millbrook and Kingsthorpe all being high 70’s ... Stourbridge next with two scores of mid 70’s... with the weather turning warmer and a few weeks of needed hard graft my scores started to reflect the time and effort that I put in - Wergs (72-74 level par) Tied 2nd ... Kingsthorpe (68-70 level par) Tied 4th Leeds (70-74 level par) Tied 13th and Millbrook (74 level par) 2nd ...... next stop Aberdeen 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and senior open qualifiers ..... 🏌️‍♀️ ⛳️

Two incredible days at Monte Rei Golf Club - has to be one of the toughest courses I have played - have never taken my head covers off so many times in 36 holes .... Tied 13th with the best pair of 76’s I’ve had .... 🏌️‍♀️

Penultimate Norfolk PGA pro am of the year at Royal Cromer ! Nice to be in the winners circle again with Nic Cains, and a fitting ( nearly ) end of an enjoyable year as captain !!
At least theres a little life left in the ' veteran bawburgh professional ' ( todays edp !! ) although i only hit 12 shots with a club without a headcover 🤔

Superb couple days at this excellent venue with The ( very exclusive !!) Senior Masters Tour ! Thank you for your hospitality Billingham Golf Club and great to see more spectators than players !!!
72- 73 good enough to finish 3rd !
Next stop Davenport Golf Club where hopefully the entries will reflect the hard work and dedication Mike and Michelle deserve !!!

Not the result I was hoping for but at least managed to get a mention in Fridays EDP for securing 7th position in the East of England Masters Championship at Sprowston Manor with two level par rounds .... hoping for a better result at Forrest Hills next week with the Senior Masters Tour 🏌️
