The Swedish Cabin We immediately fell in love with this 200 year old farm in a small town near Östersund, Sweden.

Today at noon. ☀️❄️ I must admit November to January are super hard because of the darkness and this year was worse because of the pandemic. But this is what we get throughout February and March. 🤩 The Swedes call it vårwinter (spring winter). It's a fifth season you'll only experience in Northern Sweden. Have a great weekend everyone!

No wonder people thought our cabin was a haunted house before we bought it. I mean, it looked more than spooky right? 😀
When I'm looking at the pictures now, I can't believe we actually bought this and saw the potential. But potential it had!
Erik has lifted the left side of the house, changed the roof and the windows and took off the rotten panels on the outside. We decided against painting because we loved the natural brown color of the wood.

Hi! 🙋🏼‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️ We're Barbara and Erik, two fun people who bought a 200 year old farm which nobody had lived in like... forever.

So five years ago we quit our jobs, started renovating and moved to Northern Sweden. 🔨

It was a HUGE amount of work but we can finally say that ✨ woohoo ✨ we finished the beautiful little cabin on our farm and will rent it out to tourists as of April 2021.
