The Oribel Magnetic Marble Run was developed as a modular STEM play system that reimagines how STEM learning can extend beyond traditional play surfaces. The project explores how everyday environments can be transformed into active play surfaces, enabling more flexible, exploratory, and spatially aware forms of play.

A key consideration throughout the design process was how to expand play beyond the limitations of the floor. A magnetic attachment system was introduced to allow components to be placed on walls, doors, fridges, and whiteboards, transforming familiar household surfaces into interactive building spaces.

This shift encourages children to think spatially and constructively across different orientations, opening up new modes of experimentation and discovery.

Through iterative prototyping and testing, the system was developed to extend marble run construction beyond traditional horizontal setups, allowing play to take place on vertical and unconventional surfaces.

Art and culture should be accessible to everyone. But for many, the experience begins long before the artwork — it starts with simply finding your way. Imagine stepping into an unfamiliar space — where do you begin? Which way are the galleries?
To make navigation more inclusive, we designed a tactile diorama for the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) — a 3D map that helps persons with visual impairment (VI) understand and explore the museum independently.
By combining tactile, visual, and audio elements, the diorama builds spatial awareness through touch, allowing visitors to form a clear mental image of the museum before setting off on their journey.

We're honoured to share that Accessible Sights has been awarded Gold🏆at the Human-Centered Design Award 2026!

Developed with Beyond Vision International Ltd., Accessible Sights marked an important milestone in Singapore by empowering visually impaired individuals to become inclusive tour guides in Enabling Village. More than creating an accessible experience, the project demonstrates how inclusive design can create meaningful opportunities and empower communities.

We're incredibly thankful to Beyond Vision International Ltd. for embarking on this journey with us and for the close collaboration that made this project possible. Thank you to SG Enable and Enabling Village for your support and for believing in the vision behind Accessible Sights.

Most importantly, thank you to all our visually impaired guides. Your stories, perspectives, and determination have given this project its true meaning, and this recognition belongs as much to you as it does to us.

We're excited to continue designing for a more inclusive future.
