We are truly humbled and grateful that “Accessible Sights” has been awarded the SG Mark Gold Award, together with Beyond Vision Projects / Beyond Vision International and SG Enable, Enabling Village.
It is also our honour to have Mr. Sim, one of our VI members, receive the award from our President Tharman Shanmugaratnam

This project began as a one-year journey at Enabling Village from 2023–2024. Yet, the team did not stop there—we have since continued our efforts at Gardens by the Bay (launched two months ago), the Singapore Art Museum, and more meaningful collaborations ahead.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Rico Chan and Pete Cheng from BVI—we have learned so much from this journey.
Thank you, Emily Ong, for your trust and for connecting Trigger Design with BVI.
To all the amazing visually impaired volunteers and youth volunteers, we deeply appreciate your dedication.

The Gardens are for everyone to explore and enjoy. 🌱

We’re excited to begin Phase 1 of our project with , in collaboration with — working together to bring inclusive, sensory experiences to life in one of Singapore’s most iconic public spaces.

Launched on White Cane Day 2024, this first phase focuses on training sighted volunteers to become sensory guides for the visually impaired community, while enhancing the multi-sensory experience of the tour.

This initiative has also been featured on media platforms including Channel NewsAsia, The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao and 8World — continuing to spark meaningful conversations on accessibility and inclusion.

A versatile showering tablet offering three distinct modes, it brings flexibility and ease to the bathroom.
Inspired by the calming movement of water, the design features a ripple-like surface and slanted deck that prevents water stagnation — combining elegance with practicality.

Designing for people, not just products. 💡

Trigger Design Studio was approached by GovTech Singapore to design a housing that encases a tablet and a blood pressure monitor, a kit meant to make teleconsultation more accessible for seniors.

The goal: to help seniors monitor their health at home with ease and confidence.
The monitor syncs automatically with the tablet, minimising complex interactions that could feel unfamiliar to some seniors.

This pilot initiative is part of the efforts to encourage technology adoption among seniors and promote better health and wellness across the community.

We’re honoured that this collaboration with GovTech Singapore has been recognised with a Singapore Good Design Award 2025, celebrating thoughtful design that bridges technology and everyday life! ✨

We’re excited to share that Trigger Design Studio has received the Singapore Good Design Award 2025 – Special Category: Silver’s Future Award!

This recognition highlights our collaborations with GovTech Singapore — the Teleconsultation Kit for Seniors and the rPPG Experience Zone — both designed to make healthcare more accessible and intuitive for our communities.

The Teleconsultation Kit supports seniors in monitoring their health confidently at home, through a tablet device setup designed around familiarity and ease of use.

The rPPG Experience Zone brings contactless health scanning to public spaces, using approachable design language and sustainable materials to make technology more welcoming for all.

A heartfelt thank-you to GovTech Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic SP Fablab, and users who shared their feedbacks — shaping these initiatives every step of the way.

We are honoured that Accessible Sights @ Enabling Village has been awarded the Singapore Good Design Award 2025, by Design Business Chamber Singapore!

Accessible Sights creates a multi-sensorial experience led by trained visually impaired guides, designed to foster empathy, dialogue, and renewed ways of experiencing space beyond sight.

This recognition belongs to our amazing guides - Mr Sim Kah Yong, Ms Liza Rosli, Mr Lionel Tan and Mr James Chiang, and the VI community, whose passion, leadership, and feedback shaped the project every step of the way.

A big shoutout to our collaborator from Hong Kong - Beyond Vision International Ltd., our client Enabling Village / SG Enable, with support from Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped and Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd.
