Cycling the Bathers Way coastal track will take you past the bustling maritime activity of Newcastle Harbour and spectacular views of the beaches and ocean. Stop for a selfie at Bar Beach before cruising on to Merewether Beach for a caffeine break.

Nature lovers will adore the leafy Fernleigh Track, stretching from Adamstown to Belmont. A highlight of which is the Fernleigh Tunnel, a disused railway tunnel used to transport coal from the region as early as the 1880s.
