Hello all! When it comes to cleaning, the final miles are always the most arduous. We are still pushing through to move 72 Smalldive's remaining leather products into the homes of people who may appreciate what 72 Smalldive represents: preserving the fast-fading heritage of artisanal craft and centring on the ethics of making and selling products.

Despite recent crackdowns on luxury brands' 🤐 ethical breaches in their supply chains (where workers were reportedly paid only €4 a day!), the allure of luxury brands continues to distract us from the price of ethics. And Everlane's acquisition by Shein signals a dire future for many "millennials-do-good" brands, like 72 Smalldive, that aspire to decenter the fashion industry's inequitable modus operandi.

If you have never shopped at 72 Smalldive, our remaining pieces may well be a starting point for exploring what it means to shop equitably: every item was sourced directly from leather tanneries and artisans I know intimately.

Hello followers! In this week's update series, we want to share more about Two Frappes Books, a writing project launched by our founder. An imprint for his published books, Two Frappes Book, began with his awakening while training our staff at 72 Smalldive. It was an experience that rewired his perspective on the purpose of the workplace and the duty of companies and leaders to train and nurture employees' agency. Committed to this vision, our founder articulated his philosophies in writing: Staying HIREd - a guide on building positive work culture, and Of Flat Earth and Protein Mania - essays focused on enhancing metacognition. Our founder hoped to initiate a publishing project that shares books on modern wisdom for fostering self-agency and a cooperative work culture accessible at the price of 2 frappes!🥤🥤
