Jaliya Camp is a creativity resort founded by the artists Sousou & Maher Cissoko, and also the birthplace of many of their songs. It’s a platform for cultural exchange and a meeting place for people from all over the world to exchange ideas and create together. We are arranging group workshops in drumming and dancing and it’s also open for individuals who want to come and study instruments like ko
ra, balafon or west african percussion. It’s also a great place for Artist in Residence for artists who wants to get some peace of mind to compose, practice, yoga, write, paint, or other creative stuff. And on top of that it’s also a great starting spot for birdwatching. It’s located 200m from the Atlantic Ocean just by the beautiful river of Abene
The place is still under development but we have two houses for rent and an outdoor kitchen.
