After 4 years building, decorating and running the Chill Out House, a little treehouse community backpacker hostel on Koh Lanta, we are now embarking on a new project just down the road from Chill Out. Lanta Funny Farm will hopefully soon be a farm growing bamboo, fruit, vegetables and herbs, with some chickens roaming around and a pond with catfish splashing about. There will also be a small gues
thouse with a nice chill out area to hang out in, some hammocks and benches around the farm, and a clay cafe serving breakfasts and lunch, hopefully using some produce from the farm. We are currently building the clay cafe using helpers from a website called Help X and then need to move on to getting the guest bedrooms ready. Watch this space to see if we manage to get all the work done in time for high season 2012!!!
