The Twa' Amigos are Jamie Gregory and Jesus Rodriguez, a pair who met almost five years ago whilst studying HNC International Business and Trade at Dundee College in Scotland. Over the past few years the pair have embarked on several trips together as both part of their studies and also while pursuing other charity activites. Now it is time for boys to become men as they venture even deeper into t
he unknown, travelling to Indonesia to tackle one of the hardest motorised rallies on earth - The Rickshaw Run South East Asia! Jesus left his homeland of Spain when he was just 18 in order to study and live in Dundee (Scotland) for the past 5 years. Since then, he had the opportunity to travel through Morocco, from Marrakech to Tanger, an adventure lasting almost 3 weeks in 2007/2008. The year after, after meeting Jamie, they travelled to South Africa for 2 weeks working with YEP (a Scottish based charity) and the British Council in 2008/2009. The year after, he could not manage to travel anywhere and thus had to stay home at his village in Nigra working at the local surf school located in Patos, called Prado Surf Escola in 2009/2010. This was his epiphany that made him realise he was born to travel and live life to the full, which led to him travelling along the north of Spain doing Tarot readings and practicing hypnosis during the summers of 2010/2012. Jamie was born in London but has lived in Scotland for most of his life. He is an avid traveller, always looking for where the next amazing experience can come from. Over the years he has travelled to Uganda, India, South Africa and many other amazing countries. In 2010 Jamie and 2 friends embarked on a Eurotrip in his old 1.4l VW Polo, taking in 13 countries in 16 days which first infected Jamie with the rally bug. Jamie moved onwards and upwards from the Eurotrip and embarked upon the biggest road rally on earth - The Mongol Rally 2011. Jamie and his friend Gary attempted to take a 1.2l Fiat Punto from Scotland to Mongolia through nearly 20 countries. They gave it their best shot but unfortunately their (not so) trusty steed dubbed "The Golden Avenger" finally bowed out in Osh, Kyrgyzstan after 46 days and 7104 miles. Never one to quit, Jamie has taken on a new challenge in the form of The Rickshaw Run South East Asia and hopes to have better luck this time around. There were other short trips, travels and adventures that The Twa Amigos have experienced together over the past few years. Nothing, however, will compare to this; no time constraints, no route, no guidance - just the open road of discovery!
