A quick layover in Istanbul before flying to Mongolia. I am glad I took this time to get reacquainted with my camera and street photography. I haven't had a chance to properly proceed the shots so this is the raw image.
Thank you Istanbul for a lovely layover !

It's been over a year since we've given you guys any news.
Sadly, we lost the website and everything in it. The work is gone and it was hard to accept but what is done is done after all and live moves on.
Robb, Flint and myself have moved back to France! We bought a farm that we are renovating and while life is now different, it's great.
Somehow we'll find a way to share again with you all soon I hope !

This week will be me finally sharing the final pictures of my trip to back in 2018.

It took me a while. Technical problems but also not feeling very much like editing photos, I am just now finishing the pictures I took almost a year ago!
Prepare for a few pictures of Austria this week while I finish the rest of my editing on France!

An oldie but a goodie! Our article about visiting for first timers! https://www.orientexcess.com/things-to-do-beijing-first-timers/ . Tell us, what's your favourite spot in Beijing? I'd probably have to give it to the Forbidden City (but that might be because I'm watching the story of the Yanxi Palace!)

Discover a selection of 10 things to do in Beijing for first timers. Visit the Unesco sites like the Great Wall, Forbidden Palace & the other gems of Pekin.

Following my idea of going back to older pictures I might have passed on, here is one taken a few days before I got married to my wonderful husband, 3 years ago.
Because getting married in the mainland being two foreigners seemed impossible (though I was told since that it was possible? Not sure if it really is), we decided to fly to Hong-Kong to get all the paperwork done. It was simple, there wasn't much to it but it was still a wonderful day.
A day before that we decided to explore this massive city a little and I couldn't get over the fact of how busy and fast it was compared to Chengdu we've got so used to.

I've not posted very regularly lately because of a ton of backlog I keep getting. So what better way than to go and rediscover old pictures I never shared before? That might make me get back to a lot more travel photography, at least I hope!
I'll start this week with pictures taken in February. This one was taken in Harbin for the amazing Ice and Snow festival in 2015. Despite the cold, seeing all those ice sculptures turn into lanterns at night was one of my favourite experiences and one I'd love to experience again hopefully soon enough!
Have you been to Harbin or to maybe another Ice and Snow Festival? What was your experience like?
