「小羊的家」名字來自於一個美麗的故事。聖經說，上帝的追隨者都是一隻隻代罪的羊兒，有些迷了路、失了方向，或是離開家鄉，到遠方旅行，而我們把在外飄飄蕩蕩的旅者都借代為羊兒，把這間民宿，當做讓羊兒們在太陽下山後，能夠歸來、暫歇一宿的「家」。
