Fires around Rachel on Air Force property: A pattern?

Last July we had the Gothic Fire just inside the Test Site. There were zero efforts to put it out, so it grew to about 36,000 acres. It made life in Rachel hell for several weeks. I documented it in several videos last year.

This year we have the Mouse Meadow Fire just south of where the Gothic Fire raged last year. Same thing: Zero efforts to put it out. So far it has grown to over 37,000 acres, 0% contained.

Then we have the Quail Springs Fire. It was allowed to spread uncontrolled for days. Fire fighting efforts only started when the Bald Mountain radar site was threatened.

All these fires are in a location where smoke does not affect operations in the ranges, in particular at Area 51, much. But so close to Rachel that it makes life in our community hell for weeks at a time.

A coincidence? I am not usually a conspiracy guy, but one can't help but wonder: Is the Air Force trying to smoke out their neighbors? In 23 years in the area I have never seen anything remotely similar, until last year.

Here is another update on the Quail Springs fire at the foot of Bald Mountain. The fire has increased in size again to now nearly 13,000 acres!! Firefighters barely managed to save the AREA 51 radar station on Bald Mountain.

And we have another fire to deal with: The Mouse Meadow Fire in Range 74A, deep inside the NTTR. That fire severely affects air quality in the Rachel Valley right now.

Bald Mountain near AREA 51 now REALLY on Fire!!

This is an update to yesterdays video about the Quail Springs fire at the foot of Bald Mountain. The fire has increased in size from 8 acres to 2,000 acres. At this point the AREA 51 radar station on Bald Mountain is threatened by the blaze.

At the end of the video I show you the flames from an elevated view spot.

Bald Mountain on Fire - sort of...

A wild fire started today, July 25, 2026, at the foot of Bald Mountain, inside the restricted area. The smoke is visible from Rachel. So far the AREA 51 radar site on Bald Mountain is safe. In this video I show you the fire from several locations along Hwy 375. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
