Housekeeping Duties:
Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by brand standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction.
Job Duties: Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experiences for our hotel guests.
Sets up cleaning cart with supplies and clean linen.
Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas, doors and hallways.
Washes shower walls and bathtub, cleans toilets and bathroom floors.
Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest, or is soiled or torn, notify Management when missing or damages items in room.
Washes all tile floor areas by hand and or mop to remove dirt and soiled areas.
Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings.
Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies Vacuums rooms and hallways. Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alert maintenance of an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of our guests and employees.
Checks lights and remotes to ensure all are in working order.
Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: previous hotel housekeeping experience at least 1 year!
Basic knowledge of use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighting up to 100 lbs.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Must be a fast pace worker and work well with others
Multi-tasking skills
Sort all linens and treat stains
Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
Deliverer clean linen to housekeepers when needed
Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
Sort and fold clean dried items
Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and good communicate
Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs
Perform additional laundry services when necessary

Cleaning Duties
Hotel housemen help members of the hotel’s housekeeping staff clean and maintain rooms. They separate soiled linens, stock housekeeping supplies, take trash out and help clean bathrooms and other guest areas. Housemen also to clean lobby furniture, elevator doors/floors and frames and empty trash and reline, take out exterior hotel trash and reline them.

Maintenance
Hotel housemen maintenance duties begin when something breaks or needs a good cleaning. From deep-cleaning/shampooing hotel carpets to repairing furniture, fixtures, televisions and other equipment in the hotel or in any of its rooms, hotel housemen must becomes jacks of all trades. Their duties can also include maintaining a hotel's HVAC unit and replacing air conditioning units and/or filters.

Customer Service
Sometimes, housemen respond to guest requests, such as when a light isn't working in a room or when the hallway ice machine isn't working, need pool towels or close down the pool area. Because housemen will interact with guests, most hotels require their housemen to know company policies. Hotel housemen should know how to resolve basic and standard problems, respond to requests and help make sure that guests enjoy their stays.

Requirements
Since most hotels never close, hotel housemen must be flexible in the hours they can work. Wyndham chain of hotels requires this flexibility and an ability and willingness to work long hours when necessary.

Job Description
Responsibilities:

Makes, confirms and cancels reservations via telephone, computer and or in person.
Answers and routes internal and external phone calls in an articulate, friendly manner using prescribed procedures.
Greets guests, registers, issues room keys, assigns rooms and sets wake up calls as requested in an efficient, warm and friendly manner.
Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
Posts charges such as room, food, or telephone, to ledger and, makes deposits according to cash handling procedures.
Accurately checks out guests, secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed, provide receipts and communicates departures with housekeeping staff.
Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests
Maintains the shift-to-shift log accurately to ensure proper communication between shifts is maintained.
Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely
Communicate any emergency, lost item to General Manager or Management Team
Keep contingency lists in case of emergency and communicate any necessary messages
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby and front desk area.
Assist breakfast in preparing breakfast for morning guests by 6:30 AM
Complete any and all assignments asked by Management
Job Requirements:

May required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management
