Wow! Busy weekend! Never did we think we'd run out of minnows and worms, but unfortunately we have for today. Will be totally restocked on Tuesday. As a reminder, we are open from 7 am - 5 pm to give our staff time to clean, restock and sanitize at night. Thanks for all the business and wash on!

Dear Upcoming Customers of Sloanes General Store and The Inn at Alcova,

In response to the national concern for the COVID-19 outbreak, we wanted to share with you the steps we’re taking to ensure the safety of our clients as well as remind everyone of our existing policies for our business. Just so everyone knows, we are OPEN for business!

As per our cabin customers’ confirmation letter, we are upholding our 72 hour cancellation policy (3 days) in order to receive no charge for your reservation. We understand things are changing daily, however the information for travel is available and our cancellation policy is generous. We, as small business owners, need to plan as well to navigate this situation.

For your consideration, we are committed to providing excellent care and safety for our customers. We are sanitizing cabins daily, wiping down all surfaces in the store and cabins and will do additional laundry as requested, etc. For the store, we are constantly cleaning, following correct food service safety rules and hoping to keep our kitchen open. In the respect of social distancing, fishing in the outdoors provides minimal contact and hopefully, great stress relief during these times.

Thank you for your continued patronage. Please contact us with your upcoming plans, stay safe and wash your hands! The fishing is fantastic in spite of the current events!

Pedro Mountain Update 9/2

The fire is now 19,525 acres and 24% contained. The increase in acreage is primarily due to successful ignition operations on the south and east sides of the fire, removing pockets of unburden fuel interior to the fire will help protect nearby homes from possible future fire spread.
