On Saturday, December 12, 2026, A Smoky Mountain Christmas Celebration returns to Downtown Waynesville, North Carolina, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The annual celebration transforms downtown into a glowing holiday scene filled with luminaries, music and old-fashioned Christmas atmosphere.

Past celebrations have added even more to the evening, including Santa and his elves, an Elf Trail, craft stations, s’mores and hot cocoa, food vendors and horse-drawn carriage rides along streets illuminated by festive luminaries.
