In 1971 I interviewed with Bob M. Storer of Atlanta, President of Storer Studios that featured the first complete sound stage in the Atlanta area with an 80x90 soundstage, recording studio, animation studio, and full post-production services.

I had dropped out of school after taking an influential film making class at the University of Tennessee to find a job in the motion picture industry.
He told me to take a dramatic picture if I wanted to work for him so I went to Wings Camera Store on East Paces Ferry Road (where across the street I would ten years later own a graphic arts print shop). They told me of a steam engine that was soon to depart Brookwood Station on its way to Charleston, SC for its first exhibition.

Sponsored by the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS), it was Southern Railways steam locomotive 722, built in 1904. So I walked down the tracks and amist of the blowing steam I took some pictures.

Returning to the Motion Picture Studio I showed Bob the pictures. He said "That's what's all about!" and I got the job. We made all sorts of TV commercials and finally a feature motion picture starring Samuel L. Jackson in his debut film
