Latest community update for our friends in Coosawatee River resort.

Hurricane Isaias is currently projected to bring significant weather impacts to north Georgia, including Gilmer County, Ellijay, and the Coosawatee River Resort. As a Category 2 hurricane moving inland from the Gulf Coast, its primary threats to your specific area this weekend (primarily Saturday into early Sunday) are heavy rainfall, high wind gusts of 35–45 mph, and a heightened risk of localized flash and river flooding.
Because the Coosawatee River Resort centers heavily around a major river system, staying ahead of potential flooding and power outages from downed trees is critical.

FREE FIREWOOD (You Cut & You Haul) – Pick Up in Ellijay!
Hey neighbors! We have a ton of seasoned wood available for FREE. It is naturally seasoned and has fallen all over our property. Perfect if you need to stock up for campfires, fire pits, or wood-burning stoves!
• The Catch: You must bring your own chainsaw, tools, truck, or trailer. I am not cutting or loading any of it. You must cut it to the size you want and haul it yourself.
• What it is: Free fallen logs and limbs scattered across the property. First come, first served.
• Location: Located in Ellijay, GA (DM for exact address and pickup details).
By the way, that isn’t all of it of course we are on about 3/4 of an acre. I just didn’t want to publish too many pictures that would identify the address.

Send me a private message if you have the gear and want to come grab a load before it's gone!
