From morning beach walks and sunset strolls to poolside lounging, deck naps, and simply soaking up the Gulf view. These pups know how to do a Cape San Blas vacation right! ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿพ

The summer crowds are gone, the beaches are peaceful, and thereโ€™s nothing better than a long walk along the Gulf with your pup. With dogs welcome on the beach, the Cape is a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy some time together.

Beach Camp, Good Fortune & Sweet Necessity are three dog-friendly vacation homes on Cape San Blas.

We have some disappointing news to share. The 2026 scalloping season in St. Joseph Bay has been cancelled due to the lack of scallops in the bay.

Is it a bummer? Absolutely. We know how many families look forward to this tradition every year, and we were excited to welcome our scalloping guests back to Cape San Blas.

But as disappointing as it is, giving the bay a break is the right thing to do. Protecting the health of St. Joseph Bay and giving the scallop population a chance to recover is far more important than one season of harvesting. ๐Ÿ’™

And here's the good news...

Cape San Blas is still pretty amazing in August and September! โ˜€๏ธ

The beaches are beautiful, the water is warm, the crowds are lighter, and there's plenty of sunshine and adventure to enjoy. It's actually a wonderful time to experience the Cape at a slower, quieter pace.

If you've been thinking about a late-summer Cape San Blas getaway, this might be your sign! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Come enjoy the uncrowded beaches, warm Gulf waters, spectacular sunsets, great fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, biking, and all the other things that make the Forgotten Coast so special.
