How did you celebrate New Year's? Squirrell812 and family were camping in Pescadero --

"Perfect little get away spot for both families and couples. So many different ways of lodging, something for everyone. Nice general store, love the saunas and comfort stations throughout the park. Food at the restaurant has been exceptional especially the scallop dinner for new years eve..WOW.., and listening to the sounds of the ocean at night time, its comforting to us. We hope to spend many more years at Costanoa KOA."

Another year is almost behind us - what was your favorite camping trip of 2013?

"We were trying to find some place to stay while traveling the 101 frwy. We were greeted right away on a Saturday night right before Christmas. I don't remember his name but he was very friendly and helpful. This spot turned out to be perfect. We were only a few miles away from restaurants and we ended up taking the short route to the coastal hwy 1 right next to the campground as well. It was quiet and clean. I saw the other review. I have stayed at places where the spaces were narrow but this is a normal size spot with a nice area for sitting and having a campfire."

This Ohio campground has an overall rating of 4.5/5 but wintercmpr raises some concerns about (you guessed it) winter camping: "...They don't plow or salt the road despite having winter camping. Try attempting to remove your RV when the road is icy or even driving in it. I have a 4x4 vehicle and was sliding all over the place..."

"When I checked in, there was a sign for Thanksgiving dinner. The Owners were putting on a dinner for all the residents in the park ( San Angelo Texas KOA Campground ) I explained that I had 4 family members in town and we were looking for a place to eat. And I was told to bring them and there would be plenty to eat. I furnished several side dishes and desserts and there was so much food. It was like having a large friends and family dinner for Thanksgiving. Thanks you again to the Gray's."

"Great location. Close to East Glacier. Beautiful view. Best park this close to East Glacier. Bit spendy-but, everyplace is in the area. Loved the pizza delivery to the RV door and the pet service."
