The Inflatable Costume Races are back at Fall Downtown Fest in Beaver Dam, WI 2026 on Saturday, October 31!

The concept is simple:

Step 1: Find a giant inflatable costume.
Step 2: Put it on.
Step 3: Attempt to run 120 yards.
Step 4: Immediately regret Steps 1โ€“3.

๐Ÿ 120 yards of inflatable chaos.
๐Ÿฆ„ 4โ€“6 questionable athletes per heat.
๐Ÿ’ฐ FREE to enter.
๐Ÿ˜‚ Spectators pay nothing to enjoy your poor decisions.

๐–๐ž'๐ฏ๐ž ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง ๐ ๐จ๐ญ ๐“๐–๐Ž ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ:
Ages 8โ€“13: You get a 25-yard head start, because we're not monsters.
Ages 14+: You get the entire 120 yards, because you're old enough to understand what you signed up for.

And there's actual money on the line for our 14+ racers:

The first heat happens before the Casket Races, with additional inflatable heats squeezed between Casket Race heats.

A person trapped inside a giant inflatable costume will race a homemade casket.

We had a meeting.

Will a dinosaur lose its fan halfway down South Spring Street and slowly deflate in front of hundreds of people?

Registration is FREE, and pre-registration is encouraged. Day-of registration may be available if space allows.
