First Fridays at Minnie’s | September 4

This Friday at Minnies brings a new maker to the bar - Natalie Piteo, our Featured Artist for September.

By day, Natalie is a full-time registered nurse. Off the clock, she’s a self-taught silversmith, working out of her own studio in Bend and teaching herself the craft one piece at a time - shaping metal and setting each stone by hand.

Her work starts with the gemstone, not the design. Every natural stone is different, and to Natalie, each one seems to suggest its own shape. What she builds around it feels grounded and intentional. Jewelry that looks like it grew there, pulled from time spent outside - the high desert, mountain light, the quiet colors of Oregon’s open spaces.

Meet Natalie and see the collection in person this Friday at The Westman.

Your day in Bend isn’t over when you leave the trail.

Trade your dusty boots for the heated soaking pool. Let the courtyard fire take it from there. And when the day’s finally caught up with you, a room that makes the landing soft.

These beautiful moments were captured by Connor during his recent stay at The Westman.

The old post office cleaned up pretty well. More to come this fall.

We made The New York Times. 🗞️

Their roundup, “At 5 New Hotels, Glimpses of the Past,” spotlights buildings around the world being given a second life - a restored warehouse in Seattle, a former Meiji-era prison in Nara, Japan, and us.

Some renovations erase what came before. We kept the gold leaf on the facade, the marble underfoot, the sense that you’re stepping into somewhere with a past. That’s not an accident.

This Friday, we’re welcoming Doug Hauck Photography to Minnie’s - his work on display throughout the evening. Doug is a local Bend photographer, and photography has been part of his life for as long as he can remember. That same wonder is still there every time he lifts the lens.

We’re proud to celebrate the makers and creatives who shape our community. Join us for an evening of art, cocktails, and thoughtfully prepared bites.
