They say it's non-potable, but I'm not dead. 🏔️ 💧

In fact, I've been sticking my face under the Devil's Elbow spring for more than 20 years to get a taste of fresh, ice-cold mountain spring water.

Most of the year it's just a trickle, but right now? The mountain is waking up and the flow is fast and guaranteed to give you and ear-to-ear smile (and maybe a shiver and wet shirt collar).

I often get asked: "The cabin is empty today—can I get a last-minute deal?"

It’s a fair question. I applaud you for asking (I would!) but at In The Sticks Cabins, I’ve made a conscious choice to prioritize quality over a quick booking.
Please don’t stop asking! Just understand why I can’t always offer a deal.

Even when the cabin is "ready," a last-minute stay requires a dedicated "final pass" to ensure my standards are met. I don’t just turn a key and poke my head in. Whether it's testing the mountain water systems, clearing a fresh dusting of snow, or doing that final walkthrough to make sure the king-sized beds are crisp for your arrival—the prep is a priority.
