✨The spirit of Dolly Parton was with us during our 2025 Lighthouse Project Fundraising dinner. The Bear Valley Imagination Library, made possible through the generosity of Dolly Parton (Dolly Parton's Imagination Library), has been alive and well in our Big Bear Valley for a number of years, Founded by Diane Goepp and Sandy Foulkes and “adopted” by The Lighthouse Project upon their retirement, the program continues to thrive under the leadership of Board Member Sarah Benson and through the ongoing generosity of those who donate to The Lighthouse Project.

The program delivers pre school books in English or Spanish via postal mail at no cost to households with preschool children. Research substantiates time after time that preschool exposure to books increases early literacy. Organizations like UNESCO highlight that literacy is a continuous skill that powers individuals and transforms societies. Literacy matters, Lighthouse cares. ❤️
