Late-October guests at Mia's Black Dog Lodge are enjoying this nice weather, and fishing is good! Docks are still in the water because it has been so warm, so they can park their fishing boat there for the week. Here's this morning's report:

Oh nice, caught 6 walleyes but all were under the 18inch minimum so we threw em back, kept some decent perch, but going for some crappie soon though, after lunch.

Most Sawyer County Trunk Highways (Example: County Rd F) are now open for ATV use! New paper maps coming later this year.

On Thursday, June 13, the Sawyer County Highway Department finished installing new ATV route signs for recently approved routes (the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors approved 19 new ATV routes

A turtle’s shell is tough but not tougher than your tires! During this busy travel weekend, slow down, be alert and reduce distractions, especially on roads near wet areas, lakes and rivers where turtles are likely to be.
