October 13th is our wedding anniversary. One of two we celebrate, our first wedding was in 2004, and the second - legal - one in 2014. Both were influenced and part of the fight for marriage equality, something we were happy to be a part of and get to celebrate twice a year ~~ Joey and Scott

Day trip yesterday to the mountains yesterday to meet with the first of two crews that are taking down the old cabin on our property that was destroyed by the hurricane.
First step of the last step that will be the next step and first step of the next phase!

We've grown our own food, at least some of it, one way or another for many years. While we have raised bed gardens we also integrate edible options into our landscaping, adding both beauty and options for the kitchen :)

New blog post about our build out and barn-to-cabin conversion - lots of photos - it's been just under 3 years since we finished this place and love it more and more each day. And now we are in the early stages of planning the next place, converting the stable across the meadow into another, larger, home :)

I love our little cabin at Linwell Falls. While it’s small, it’s the perfect size for us for now as we formulate plans for this place, including building out a larger (about 1800 SF) post-and-beam stable into a more substantial house. The soaring ceilings - 12’ to the top of the walls and 20.....
