Welcome to Woof in the Woods Cabin in Blue Ridge, Georgia, a modern mountain stay.

🐾 We’re multi-dog and pack-friendly (as dog parents to three).

🐾 We’re fee-free because pet fees make zero sense (what do you mean we can’t bring the whole family?!)

🐾 We’re welcoming to all paws and sizes (little dogs, medium dogs, big dogs, dog over 50 lbs., dogs that look like wolves [speaking from experience as husky parents here], etc.)

🐾 We’re fully fenced for play and zoomies with access to the pup pantry and Lucky Dog Library.

The Shelter Dog Day Out program Humane Society of Blue Ridge lets you spend the day with an adoptable dog and give them a little adventure outside the shelter.

Your day together could look like:
🐾 Exploring downtown Blue Ridge
🥾 Hitting your favorite hiking trail
🍔 Grabbing lunch at a dog-friendly restaurant in town
🏕️ Enjoying a relaxing afternoon outdoors or at your cabin

These outings give shelter dogs a chance to decompress, enjoy some fresh air, and experience the world beyond the shelter while they wait for their furever families.

For us, we know that the best days are even better when they’re shared with a dog. And a simple day out can mean the world to a dog waiting for a home.

So, what does dog-first hospitality actually mean?

It means:
🐾 “Yes! you can bring your dog(s).”
🐾 No pet fees, because dogs are family, not an add-on. Plus, more treat money.
🐾 All dogs welcome with no breed or size restrictions.
🐾 Multiple dogs welcome, so you can bring the whole pack.
🐾 Fully fenced yard for zoomies and play.
🐾 Reactive-dog-friendly, with an understanding that some dogs need a little extra space.

Overall, it means you booked the cabin but your dog booked the vacation.
