Harris Twp. LIONS Club The Harris Township Lions Club was chartered by the International Association of Lions Clubs on March 10, 1952 being sponsored by the Ferguson Twp. LC.

The Lions Club organization started in 1917. Harris Twp. is currently the 7th oldest of the 11 Lions Clubs in Centre County. Four women have been presidents since 2004 and family memberships are encouraged. Over the decades, scores of men and, since 2000, women, have served the greater Harris Township Community with projects such as street signs on “Mortgage” Hill; selling “house numerals” when th

at identification became mandatory; providing significant funding for the Three Ladies Memorial Day Statue ; & semi-annual roadside clean-up of PA 45. Funds have been provided for many Lions endorsed & local charities such as Leader Dog of Rochester Hills, MI; PA Lions Beacon Lodge Special Needs Camp near Mt. Union, PA; PA Lions Hearing Research Foundation; Four Diamonds Fund; Boalsburg Fire Company; North Central Sight Services of Williamsport, PA: & is a founding contributor to the Harvest Fields Community Trails. The Club is particularly proud of originally chartering Scouts BSA Troop 380 (Boys) in December 1958; assuming the charter of Cub Scout Pack 380 in 1960; and chartering Troop 328 (Girls) in 2019. To date 145 members of Troop 380 and 4 members of the former Explorer Post 380 have achieved the Eagle Scout Award.
