I’m SO EXCITED TO SHARE some personal and professional news with all of you!

After many years of loving and living part-time in Georgia, it has become such a large part of our story. We spent an entire year searching before finding the right place for our family in Middle Georgia—and along the way, I truly fell in love with the land, the lakes, the people and the slower pace of life there.

Because of that journey, it means so much to now say that I am OFFICIALLY LICENSED in both FLORIDA and GEORGIA!

Florida will always be home, and I will absolutely continue serving my clients here—this community means so much to me. But now, I have the privilege of connecting my two loves… helping my Florida friends and clients find their own special place in my second home state of Georgia and vice versa.

If you’ve ever dreamed of:
• A lakefront home…consider Lake Oconee or Lake Sinclair
• A peaceful vacation getaway
• Hunting land or farmland
• Or just a change of pace

I would love to walk that journey with you, just like I experienced myself.

I’d be honored to be your Florida CONNECTION to Georgia REAL ESTATE, and I’m here whenever the timing feels right—whether you’re just exploring or ready to make a move. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions🤍
Stay Tuned…

How awesome is this? This is a wooden carved fish by a local talent placed on a piece of the metal roof from the house he bought from us. Can’t believe the talent some people are blessed with♥️ So detailed!

Took a walk to the back of the property yesterday. Not sure if I ever shared pictures from back there...maybe once with my grandkids. The cool thing about this spring is that at one time it brought water to five homes up here on the hill. They would pump it up into an tank in the giant oak tree in the back and then gravity feed to the houses. Way up into the 70’s and I think some were even in the 80’s before they put a well in. Love history! Thought I’d share that😁

Warning: Long Post😳
When we first purchased this house we thought we’d fix a few things and make it a rental. It was our friends grandparents house and we hoped to make it something to be proud of. We knew we had our work cut out for us and it would take a bit...boy did it! After awhile I was spending more time at this little house than my own. I fell in love with its charm, character, how quaint and unique it is and also the neighborhood. By that time we decided if we made it a rental we’d be risking all the hard work and money we put into it. So then we decided to make it an air bnb so we could keep it and possibly retire here one day. Here we are almost 2 years later and we have finally accomplished everything I had set out to do to bring this little place back to it’s former glory. Over the past several months I had been setting it up for an air bnb and put a lot of thought into what that meant. Something I always wanted to do. But what would that entail?
My husband has been saying that it’s just one more thing on our to do list each week, one extra yard to mow, one extra house to look after, more responsibilities to tend to. We weren’t even going to get to use and enjoy it ourselves because it’s just down the road from home. But stubborn me just kept chugging forward with decorating and trying to make it as welcoming and homey as I had envisioned. It takes a lot to change my mind once it’s set on something but one day I was working over there and thinking about life and how short it is. So many people whose lives have been cut short lately. Thinking...What’s important to us? How is our time best spent? Is being this busy all the time how we want to continue?
Here we are at a crossroads... Do we continue on this venture or turn and go right.. after much thought, prayer and consideration we have decided to sell our place here on Snow Hill. A lot has changed for us in the past 2 years. Just like everyone else, we had a crazy year in 2020. 2021 has been a little better but still not what 2019 was. We have both had some health issues which the doctors tell us are stress related LOL. (I’m sure most of us have too much stress in our lives these days)
Having this house here as an air bnb for me would mean a distraction from family and my home and the things that are important to me. Yes! I would love it! Welcoming people with warm cookies and lemonade. Yes! This is a difficult decision! But having taken the time to re-evaluate things and prioritize our lives and our health and our family we’ve decided this is the right choice for us. We will reinvest the sale of this house into a place we can go away to unwind, de-stress and make memories with our children and grands that isn’t just down the road.
This isn’t what we had planned to begin with or even just a few months ago but it is part of our new plans for our future and I feel the Lord is directing our path. I feel good about it and a month ago I wouldn’t have said that.
I feel so blessed to have been able to spend the past 2 years renovating this old house with good bones. Not everyone has the means and time to do this, I know this. My husband knew I always dreamed of renovating an old historic home and he saw to it that that dream came true! I am thankful I can put a check by it on my bucket list because I don’t believe I would have the energy to do it all over again lol! I cherish the memories I made here with my grands helping me along the way. There were more dreams I had for this place but for now they will have to be enjoyed by another! I know a lot of people feel tied to this home because they also have made memories here with their families. I hope you all can understand our decision and value the stamp we have now put on this home restoring it and loving it also.
Thanks to all my followers on this page that were rooting me on and encouraging me the whole way! Y’all were great!.
