Skygazers wanting to see the Milky Way take note! "We are currently in the season where the Milky Way is visible around 10:30 pm but low on the horizon. At 10:30pm you’ll want to look South-Southeast and as the night goes on you’ll want to start looking South-Southwest. Starting 7/10/20 the moon will rise at 12:00 am so there is a hour or so window you’ll be able to see the Milky Way clearly and as the days in July go on the moon will rise later and later offering longer windows of viewing time. Of course, make sure to look at your weather apps to see if the sky will be clear." There's no better place to view the stars and constellations than the high elevations of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains in and around Bryson City!
