I have been really slacking as we camp this year.
Most of my reviews have been on my personal page instead of here. I’ll try to do better.

A question for you all..
What bigger item do you carry that could be left at home for shorter trips?

I’m sitting at a campsite by a creek that we have until Saturday. And I’ve realized there are several things we carry with us that don’t have to come on EVERY trip.
Case in point, the zero gravity chair I’m currently sitting in.

Yes, it is great for a weeklong stay. But it’s heavy, bulky, and if we are going to meet up with other people I probably won’t use it much.

Our Blackstone griddle. We’ve traveled with it for over a year and used it once.
Cooking on the Blackstone was always my hubby’s favorite and I feel a pang every time I even think about using it.
We have an electric griddle that works for just the two of us.
We will use it tonight (weather permitting) for breakfast for dinner.

The trikes are wonderful for a long stay, but very heavy to load and unload. Especially if they may not get used.

I carry 2 power stations. One 1000w and one 300w. The big one is the one I use most of the time to run a fan, or my bipap if there are power issues.
The smaller one is used mainly as a giant phone charger and may not go with us next trip.

Well darn! Second year in a row, and we applied for both this one and Congaree.:(

Yellow Jacket RV Park & Sales
Clanton AL

Looked like a combination RV shop, park, with mobile home sales.

Site was ok except for the broken picnic table.
We had shade, were by a lake, and FHU.

We never saw a staff person. Evidently they leave Saturday afternoon for the weekend.

If I had realized how close we were to Higgins Ferry we would have gone there.

Last two were of the mess left when an RV got hung up on the pumps.
After the police arrived, he talked to them, gave his contact info, then pulled out doing what looked to be serious damage to his rig.

Day 1 of our trip was a success with a safe arrival at Bama RV Station.

No, I didn’t put stabilizers down, and probably won’t for 2 nights. This camper is pretty stable

For day 2, a nice lunch in the camper at a rest stop. And then we continue our trip. We may mix it up and go a bit further. Then we can join the fun at Margaritaville sooner!

Love this handrail! And it was cheaper than an ER visit.

Very fitting!

It’s official! We are moving on up!
From the 175FQ (22’) to the 210 QB (25.5’).

The 12v fridge in the 175 is bad and cannot be replaced in a reasonable amount of time.

The new camper is also a Jayco Jay Flight, but with a LOT of upgrades!

Starting with 2 axles and an added couch, plus more storage and a full pass through, double the sized holding tanks, ducted air conditioning, an actual pantry, 4 stabilizers (instead of 2), and more!

Time is not our friend though. We will finish emptying the old camper tomorrow, then take it in on Wednesday morning to pick up the new one which Dani has named “Happy”!

Then to load it, before our big trip this month!

So the fridge in our camper is bad. It may take a while (like 6-8 months) to get the new one under warranty. Do we “r...

So the fridge in our camper is bad. It may take a while (like 6-8 months) to get the new one under warranty.

Do we “rough it” in the camper? Part of why we have the camper is to have the conveniences.

Do we buy a replacement fridge while we wait? They are about $1000 for that size.

Or do we trade ours in on a 3’ longer double axle with a couch. Same year. Price difference after trade in is around $6000.

We do camp almost monthly. And are hoping for more longer trips, if our upcoming one goes smoothly.
