Travelling Adventures explores Colorado.
I started Saturday morning by asking the front desk personnel where a hole in the wall inexpensive coffee shop was for pancakes and eggs.
I ended up learning a important listen on one of the many changes in our culture and language.
I was given two names of coffee shops. upon entering them I discovered they where just coffee shops, no food service.
I hit Pearl Street looking for a little mom and pop coffee shop.
I saw a lot of nice small independent stores and boutiques. Asking the local college students for suggestions where to eat, I was directed to the local farmers market.
They had a food court and live music.
I indulged myself in a pork taco. Just one as I had a brunch date at 11:30 and it was already 10:00. it was very good.
I checked out the different booths displays and headed to Foolish Graigs for lunch.
As I was walking out of the booth area I notice a young man sitting on the grass in the park with a variety of photographs on a blanket.
I stop to check out his work. He was from Brazil his name and website is lucasjaroba@art
Over the last year his been traveling around North America, United States and Canada.
His photographs are exceptional.
I arrive at Foolish Graigs a half hour early. They had a long line and said it would be 30 minutes for a table. I thought perfect and put my name in. 3 minutes later they txt me, my table was ready. Wow, I politely explain my party would not be here for 30 minutes and was told not to worry and took me to my table.
Watching the other diners the food look fantastic. It was. my guest showed up right on time.
This was a exciting lunch for me as I was about to meet family members we didn't know existed.
We have a very unusual last name. We had never meet anyone outside our immediate family with the same name until Facebook had suggested we befriend each other and we both enthusiastically did. That was a couple years ago.
We think we found a mutual relative in Ancestry.com. to be sure I'm going to send my DNA to 23and me and see what we can learn.
Micheal and his Dad Mark are very nice people. Regardless if we are realitives or not I feel like I made some new friends.
After lunch I started walking to a jewelry store to install a battery in a very nice watch my brother David had given me some 5 years ago. When I got to the street to turn left on or make a right to my hotel I realize it was another mile to walk in the opposite direction of the hotel. I decided I had enough walking and headed to the hotel. I was glad I did.
upon returning I soak my aching calves and ankles in the hot tub and rested before the wedding, I'll tell u about in the next episode of
