More and more people are being affected by this scam. This has happened on several rentals in Pelican Preserve. I have been working with Pelican Preserve and KW trying to assist. It is someone in "Chinatown business district" in San Francisco They use a 415 are code number phone number. If you call that number there is a voicemail or silence. They are using old photos and prospective tenants believe they are talking to owners. Please Please make sure BEFORE you send any money call and speak to an actual person. If you can't reach someone I would be happy to look up the property to make sure it is at least a real rental. As we get closer to season I think we will begin to see how many have been affected. Unfortunately there's no way to this as we don't know who is responding to those posts. I have included a photo or the scam lease I was able to get. Contact your bank and your local police.
