With over a dozen vacation rentals located within walking distance of new restaurant The Lakehouse Wine Bar & Grill in Cornelius, we at Reuben Rentals & Realty HAD to give it a try. I mean…for market research, obviously. We even brought our young restaurant critics to give their perspective.

For countless years, our guests have been wandering over to Port City Club, so naturally we had several guests message us that they were saddened to see it close its doors. We have many fond memories of our own at PCC…scroll to see pics of my oldest and his bestie after their 6th birthday party. They are about to turn 15, and I still remember them playing in the rain on the deck like it was yesterday. But while this may be the end of a chapter, we think you’ll really enjoy this next one.

The Lakehouse Wine Bar & Grill is a true GEM in Cornelius and the start of a new era! Their wine list is extensive, their servers are friendly and knowledgeable, and the menu had us peeping other tables to help us choose!

Our family favorite appetizer was the meatball. The sauce is *chef’s kiss*! My husband and I both ordered fish dishes, both of which were fresh and flavorful, and my oldest devoured his steak, per the usual. Oh, and my 9 year old buttered noodle connossier was pleased as well.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the diverse menu, and the fresh vibe at The Lakehouse, and we won’t hesitate to recommend it to our guests this spring and summer! We hope you’ll pop in, order a glass, and enjoy an elegant waterfront meal on the patio!
