Recently I posted on the Glocester Page the opening of the Black Label store in Chepachet. I received a notice from Deborah Burlingame that it was taken down since it was a business, and Wednesday is the day for businesses to advertise.
sorry they were not posting but I was. I posted it in joy that we had another store in town to shop. I feel that we should welcome them and be able to say they are having a grand opening. The business community in our town should be recognized for what they give back in time to local organizations. I posted thank you comments each time when I was given funds to the Scarecrow festival .
Next year I will be given a list of all businesses, and I hope to thank them again on the site.
As a former business owner years ago of Putnam Pike florist ,Chepachet and more the past owner of Peter Pots Flowers I know of the request small business get from the community. I know my appreciation of all the town's businesses is sincere. I also know that the Administrators of each group have a difficult job at times.
Maybe we should lessen the restrictions on our local businesses. I see many request from the sited contributors asking recommendations of services and where to go to shop. I feel maybe 3 comments per week from local businesses would save them some advertising costs and they could have extra dollars when it came time to give back to the community. Just my opinion but a sincere request .Lew
