Octobers Meeting

🌸 From a Few Seeds to a Blooming Business! 🌸

Our guest speaker, Catherine Phillips, owner of Ebb Tide Flower Farm in Mt. Pleasant, shared the inspiring story of how a simple hobby blossomed into a successful small business. What began with just a few packets of seeds and some peaceful quiet time grew into something truly beautiful!

Thank you, Catherine, for sharing your journey and reminding us that sometimes the best things in life start with a little seed and a big dream. 🌷

Boysenberries are growing In South Carolina. FSGCC President Kimberly Maness got her first harvest from her Boysenberry experiment and shares her experience.
“Ok-As an experiment I started 2 bushes 3 yrs ago from fast growing trees. I didn't amend soil, just put them in the ground adding some fertilizer, Berry Tone in spring, Pruning old canes in March explodes new growth. This season starting off great. Boysenberries are a cross between blackberry, raspberry and loganberries. They make an incredible syrup and dessert or fresh eating off the cane!”
