The Cherokee Masonic lodge of donated 25 bone in hams, 115 pounds of potatoes, 50 cans of vegetables, 25 boxes of stuffing and of course gravy for the Easter holiday on Monday to the Food Pantry at Mid-Sioux Opportunity.

Yet, in today’s politically charged climate, fueled by conspiracy theories like those tied to the Epstein scandal, this myth is resurfacing. We saw this pattern before: in 1738, a papal bull condemned Freemasonry, the Anti-Masonic Party emerged in the 1820s, and in 1884, “Humanum Genus” framed Masonry as a threat. These accusations stem from fear and misinformation, not fact.

Take the tragic case of Robert Wise, murdered by someone who believed such a lie. Today, influencers amplify these myths for profit. Yet the truth stands: Freemasonry doesn’t worship the devil. Instead, it celebrates education, self-improvement, and brotherhood. Freemasonry stands firm, while fear, time and again, fades away.
