It’s finally happening!
Work on the exterior of the house has finally begun, and we are so ready for it! A lot of time, research, and grueling decision-making has gone into this process.
It’s a difficult thing, deciding how to take care of a house this old. Preservation is our number one priority, and it has been a delicate balance between responsibility, feasibility, and finance ability.
Stucco was applied to the house over 50 years ago in an effort to protect the crumbling original brick. We are bringing back the brick today in a way that will continue to protect the house for generations to come!

~ I also want to give a shout out to all of our amazing guests that have stayed the last few weeks… Literally no one has complained when I have told them about the exterior work starting, knowing very well that their retreat time may be disrupted.
