So today I had a little excitement… I was at Camp Recon in the Wolf Tail Valley, Idaho Territory. I was sitting in my camp chair with my rifle (Wi******er 1873 in .45 C**t,) across my lap and my faithful companion, my dog Zipper laying by my side. It was very quiet and peaceful… And then… All of a sudden, Zipper jumps up and starts barking and growling into the woods behind me. I launched myself out of the chair and brought my rifle to the ready and could see or hear nothing. I waited about five minutes and then let Zipper lead the way down into the woods, where about 30 yards behind my chair she found a huge pile of bear crap. My little dog certainly did her job today.
