Did you know there's a new, fun, casual pizza, salad and sandwich spot open in downtown Old Colorado City? Check out Pizzeria Leopold, named for the owners' oldest child, in the middle of Old Colorado City with outdoor rooftop seating!

We checked out this spot on Saturday around 6:30pm and were seated right away at the railing on the rooftop, overlooking the town and Cheyenne Mountain. Our server was quick and friendly. We tried their chicken cutlet sandwich with roasted red peppers and big slices of mozzarella. We also enjoyed their chef special, the *burrata cheese salad with a hefty portion of red pepper tapenade plus crunchy bread. We finished off our meal with a large cannoli with mini chocolate chips. Everything was delicious and came out quickly.

*Burrata is a fresh Italian cow's milk cheese consisting of an outer solid mozzarella shell filled with a soft, creamy mixture of stracciatella and cream.
