They listen to everyone . Thank you to everyone that spoke up , shared videos . Attended meetings and contacted KYTC directly. Everyone made a difference. It wasn’t just one or two people. It was teamwork and they listened.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet sidelined plans to narrow lanes of Dixie Highway Monday after weeks of pushback from people living and working between Turfway Road and Commonwealth Avenue and officials in Erlanger, Elsmere and Florence.

KYTC said they would move forward with summer resurfacing without the previously proposed "road diet."

06/08/2026

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the closures are needed to safely move forward with construction on the major corridor project, which includes adding interstate lanes, improving access, building a new companion bridge and converting the existing Brent Spence Bridge for local traffic.

Additional traffic changes are now expected to begin on or after Monday, June 15.

The City of Erlanger has been notified of a temporary water shutoff affecting residents on Rosebud Avenue.

Water service is expected to be unavailable for approximately 3–4 hours while necessary work is completed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews work to restore service as quickly as possible. Updates will be provided if additional information becomes available.

Big improvements coming to license offices this June! 🪪

We’re upgrading to a new, modern licensing system to replace our 40-year-old system – one that will allow Kentuckians this June to create accounts through a new portal, myDrive, where you can pre-apply for a license, permit, or ID, request a card replacement, check your current license standing, and more.

The new system launches June 8. If you are due to renew in June, you are strongly encouraged to visit a Driver Licensing Regional Office before June 4, as all offices will close on June 4 and 5, and hours of operation will be adjusted from June 8 – 18 for the system migration.
