There are some places that are more than just beautiful… they’re filled with stories. 🤍

Meet the two people who started it all: Arla 🤍 and Harold 💗.

Back in the 1950s, my grandparents purchased a cabin on Crosslake and quickly realized this was where they wanted to spend their retirement years. They eventually bought the land off County Road 16, where this peaceful little pond sat unnamed. As the primary landowners, they were given the honor of naming it—and my grandpa Harold chose to name it after the love of his life: Arla’s Pond. 🤍

Over the years, this property became the backdrop for countless family memories—celebrating milestones, welcoming grandchildren, gathering around the iconic fireplace, and soaking in all the simple moments that make life so special.

Today, that same fireplace still stands at the heart of Arla 🤍’s Pond Cottage, serving as a reminder of the love, laughter, and legacy that built this place.

It is such an honor to open these doors and share a little piece of our family’s history with each guest who stays here. We hope that while you’re here, you create memories that become part of the story, too.
