I know I-65 like the back of my hand. As a child, I was ferried from Birmingham, Alabama to Louisville, Kentucky several times a year. As an adult, after numerous false starts, I found myself in Fort Meyers, Florida. Her f
irst home off the island was city, state . Then she also found her way to Fort Meyers. Later, we were both transferred to Houston, Texas. It is no wonder that we love to travel, see new things, experience our country and all it has to offer. Our story started with a simple hey and as time passed Yanai went on from being my friend, to my best friend, my partner in crime, my girlfriend, to my fiancé, and finally to becoming my wife and queen. Our combined family was born with instant fireworks of adventure. Neither of us thought this would ever happen as we were not looking for it, but fate had a different plan for us. With every day our bonds grow stronger together. I can only imagine the good and joyful times we can look forward to. It was family that encouraged me to make the first 1200-mile leap of faith and start a new
career in Florida. It was there that everything began. Then once again, fate decided we needed a new adventure for growth. One that has led us to another 1200-mile leap of faith as more opportunities opened for us in a new location with the company. So, we packed everything up in Fort Meyers, loaded up Yanai’s truck and trailer and hooked up my car behind my 1999 Four Winds Windsport 33B. It was officially our first RV adventure as a family enjoying the stops and campsites along the way. So much so,
it felt like a Dream. Our original plans were to get the trip done in 3 days, but the kids, Yanai, and I were having so much fun that we stretched our Dream out a little more. Yes, everyone was excited to get to our new home, but no one wanted to end our Dream on Wheelz. We eventually got to our destination in Houston. We were happy and sad at the same time as we unloaded everything and moved into our new place. Reluctantly the RV had to be stored away at a nearby facility due to local HOA rules. We settled in and life became routine. Then the pandemic hit, and things began changing in the
world. We soon went from working 60-80 hours a week at the airport to a new life working and
schooling from home. And well yes that itch has been coming back for the open road. It never fully went away -- anyone with a Dream on Wheelz understands that. It had been pushed down to the backs of our minds, as our jobs were keeping us too busy to be able to travel and enjoy the road and sights with our children. There were a few small adventures and trips that we went on, but it felt like so much hassle to go get the RV and load up. So sadly, we would just pack up and take off in the car and stay in a hotel wherever we drove to. And without fail everywhere we went one of us would bring up: can you imagine
if we would have been able to just do this in the RV how much more fun it would be? Which is true. It would have helped make every trip more special and unique. As with every great thought, the Dream stayed alive to keep us thinking about it. So, after much debate and family meetings, we concluded it was time for some deep research. After many hours of internet searching, we realized while yes there
were other families that had managed to do similar things, none was exactly like us so therefore had not offered a view like we could into the lifestyle of the Dream on Wheelz. Granted, while all were different from us, they also had a passion for the road and what it can bring from being a Dream on Wheelz. Some days will be a struggle sure, but we would not trade them for anything else in the world. This brings us to our feelings that, since we know there are others like us out there, we want to
share with all of you our story and our journey. We hope that through this sharing we can encourage and inspire others who, like us, were holding back for whatever reason, to seek out your Dream on Wheelz. We have a wide variety of interests: one day it can be relaxing and enjoying a quiet walk in the woods or a new city. Another day, water parks and roller coasting as much as possible. Then the next, climbing mountains to zipline. Heck we even enjoy nice evenings out to the symphony with romantic dinners. So, as you can see, there is no telling where your Dreams on Wheelz can take you. And we really hope that everyone will join us on ours and share yours with us as well. We want everyone to feel
comfortable to reach out to us with any questions or advice you may have. We appreciate all your kindness and support of our Dream.
