🎨 Do you have students interested in art or design?

If your students are considering a post-secondary education in art or design, National Portfolio Day is a must-attend event. Encourage them to go!

Here's why: Most art and design programs require a portfolio as part of the application process. National Portfolio Day gives students a rare opportunity to meet one-on-one with professional representatives from accredited art and design universities and colleges — asking questions about programs and, most importantly, getting expert feedback on how to strengthen their portfolio before they apply.

Beyond the practical advice, it's an experience like no other. Students will be inspired, energized, and surrounded by a community of people who share their passion and commitment to art and design. For many, it may be the first time they've ever been in a space filled with that kind of creative energy — and that alone can be transformative.

🌟 Congratulations to our TACAC Rising Star, Noah Murray! 🎉

A first-generation University of Illinois graduate with 7+ years of higher education experience, Noah is a passionate advocate for college access, student success, and equitable opportunities for all. For the past four years, he has proudly served at UT San Antonio as a Senior Admissions Counselor and continues to grow as a leader through his work with TACAC and the San Antonio Regional Network.

The TACAC Middle Management Institute (MMI) is a professional development program designed for both current and aspiring managers working in higher education. Attendees generally have at least three to five years of experience and are looking to grow as leaders in their careers. This is a cohort-style program centered on building TACAC leaders. Participants will attend a series of robust virtual sessions throughout the year and complete their experience with an in-person session at the annual TACAC conference.

Registration is $150 for TACAC members and $250 for nonmembers. Registration will open September 1 and close November 2.

You aren’t seeing double! The greater El Paso community came out BIG yesterday evening to the El Paso College Fair.

We are grateful for the opportunity our colleagues had to meet with so many students and families from the region.

Thank you to Ysleta ISD for being a fantastic host and StriveScan for providing scanning technology. You both make great partners in student access.
