Every bed at Ledge & Tide has a brand-new, high-quality mattress, a solid wood frame, and fresh 100% cotton linens that feel soft and breathable, not scratchy or heavy. We also layer the bedding so guests can easily adjust for warmer nights, cooler mornings, or whatever feels most comfortable.

And we did not stop at the beds. Every bedroom has room-darkening curtains, a fully customizable sound machine, and an optional nightlight. Because a good vacation should leave you rested, not recovering from a week of bad sleep.

Some of the best moments at Ledge & Tide happen around the table. Start your morning with a cup of coffee as the sun rises over the cove, then come back after a day of exploring Deer Isle to share a home-cooked meal or takeout from one of the island’s local favorites.

One of our favorite places to explore on Deer Isle is Barred Island Preserve.

The trail winds through quiet spruce forest before opening onto one of the most memorable shorelines on the island. At low tide, the ocean pulls back to reveal a broad rocky beach and a natural land bridge, letting you walk all the way out to Barred Island. A few hours later, the tide returns and the crossing disappears beneath the sea, making the timing of your visit part of the adventure.
