This is what the edge of Colorado looks like.

The Warner Trail in Black Canyon of the Gunnison puts you right on the rim, cliffs dropping straight down to a river you can barely see from up top. It's raw, it's massive, and it's honestly hard to capture in photos, but we tried.

No long drive required either. This is one of the closest big views to home base, easy to fit into a morning before you're back at the resort by lunch. 🏔️

The Ute Trailhead drops you straight into the Gunnison Gorge, and the trail does not waste any time showing off. Towering canyon walls, wide open overlooks, and then the river itself opens up right in front of you.

🏜️ This is hands-down our favorite hike in the whole canyon.

Formerly known as SOB Draw, Pinyon Draw drops 1,900 feet in one mile of boulders, scrambling, and Black Canyon views that don't quit.

🥾 It's real Class III terrain, and the riverside swimming holes waiting at the bottom make every step worth it.

📋 A free wilderness permit is required, grab it at the ranger kiosk before you go.

🚵 One of the toughest days in American mountain biking happens an hour from your door.

The Leadville Trail 100 MTB rolls through downtown Leadville this Saturday, August 15th. Over 100 miles. Nearly 10,000 feet of climbing. A finish line earned, not given.

🏔️ Come watch, cheer, or just soak in the energy at the free Race Across the Sky Expo and Finish Festival downtown.

📍 Stay a short drive away and make a weekend of it.
