Skygazers wanting to see the Milky Way take note! "We are currently in the season where the Milky Way is visible around 10:30 pm but low on the horizon. At 10:30pm you’ll want to look South-Southeast and as the night goes on you’ll want to start looking South-Southwest. Starting 7/10/20 the moon will rise at 12:00 am so there is a hour or so window you’ll be able to see the Milky Way clearly and as the days in July go on the moon will rise later and later offering longer windows of viewing time. Of course, make sure to look at your weather apps to see if the sky will be clear." There's no better place to view the stars and constellations than the high elevations of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains in and around Bryson City! Welcome to The Berghaus. That's "mountain house" in German, and this beauty is brand new, ultra modern, and decorated with decor literally from around the world. Set atop a gorgeous mountain on 2.5 private acres, you'll use this incredible home as a base camp for all of your Bryson City and Nantahala Gorge adventures. Or, you might just find that the peacefulness you discover here means you won't leave at all.

This spacious 1700 square foot newly constructed home offers an oversized master suite with king size bed and private bath, as well as two additional queen bedrooms that share a second bath. There's also a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, living room with plenty of room to stay and play with family and friends in front of the fire, an expansive covered back porch with outside dining and two fire pits, a laundry room with washer and dryer provided, and plenty of easy parking for up to four cars.

The Berghaus is located in the upscale Fontana View Estates, which is a gated community. To enter the gate during the day, just get close to the gate for it to open. After 9pm, you'll need a code to unlock it. Follow the scenic road beyond the gate until you reach The Berghaus, and then you'll let yourself in with a door code.
