You can pick up a free sea turtle-friendly (red light) flashlight at several locations in the Destin area Local organizations sponsor this initiative to protect sea turtles and hatchlings during nesting season. Free Flashlight Pick-Up Locations: Visit Destin-Fort Walton Beach Welcome Center: 1320 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE (Okaloosa Island)-Destin City Hall: 4200 Two Trees Rd, - Destin History & Fishing Museum: 108 Stahlman Ave, Destin - Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park: 1550 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach. Call ahead to make sure they have them available.
