In front of our house there is about 5 feet of smooth rocks and then about 200ft of sandbar you can wade in and is perfect for swimming . On the beach you can spend time hunting for beach glass and driftwood, lay out and catch some sun or take a 10 minute walk down to the Dunkirk Boardwalk at the harbor to enjoy a bite to eat, a cocktail, or satisfy a shopping craving with a couple different shops. Dunkirk Harbor also offers a marina and a public launching facility to access Lake Erie. Local charters offer fishing trips to catch the famous walleye !. Do you want to go fishing? Take a charter out of the harbor to try for a famous walleye or try and haul in a big one from the mouth of the creek, which is less than a half mile from the house. Enjoy concerts and an art scene?
