Thank you for making Windansea and our charming little seaside town a New England “Guest Favorite” after THIRTY 5-star reviews.

Becoming a favorite place for locals while they renovate their homes or need overflow space for holiday guests has been very fulfilling.

We also love it when guests from around the world (France, Ireland, Netherlands) and across North America (Canada, CA, CO, LA, MD, NY, NJ, CT, SC, FL, ME etc) get to experience all the charm and hospitality our little seaside town has to offer, and this has helped it become a New England favorite!

We always provide our local area guidebook in the kitchen with fun things to do and places to eat and shop around Duxbury and the surrounding area.

Thank you and Happy Birthday Libby!

Today I would like to honor Libby, one of the original caretakers of windansea who helped make this old house a home over the years.

Libby was one of the kindest, friendliest and honest people I have ever met. She loved the beach and her neighbors and going on long walks and she never took the beach for granted. She also worked at the local school and was loved by all.

It was divine intervention that we met in a the neighborhood years before her family put their home on the market. It was also devine intervention that we reconnected during the sale of their home which allowed our family to realize a lifelong dream.

We kept in touch after she moved to Florida and sadly we lost this lovely soul last year.

She loved that the neighborhood kids were using their old storage shed as a surf clubhouse and I think she would love that people in town and some of her old friends have made new memories in the old beach house that she called home.

Please take a few minutes this week for a walk on the beach, or a nearby park in Libby’s honor.
