Took this photo fairly late at night, so I didnt have time to set up anything fancier. That being said, hopefully this weekend, I can get all the bits on my fiancée's horse at the same time, and be able to take some good pictures. However, one small buckle and some holes being punched is all this set needs and it is finished! Also included is photos of the test fitting on her horse, to make sure the bridle fit properly

And to go with the saddle, because as everyone knows, a matching outfit is a necessity, I'm making a phoenix themed headstall. It's coming along, and should be finished in the next couple days.

So, Virginia (my fiancée) recently acquired a used synthetic Australian saddle for a really good price. But, it was missing something. There were no stirrup leathers. She usually rides western, so the narrow fenders of the Australian saddles felt weird. I created this amalgamation of Aussie and western fender to blend the two. The phoenix is a symbol she chose, and i had a lot of fun putting them on here.

And on the note of seeing customer's horses wearing things I've made. I realized I forgot to post these ones of our farrier's horse wearing his new noseband and slobber straps. The horse may look unimpressed, but his owner likes them, I assure you.

A while ago, I posted some photos of a bridle and reins I made for a friend. Well, the warmer weather means that the horses are getting ridden, shows are happening, and gymkhanas are taking place. I got some photos of my friend's horse wearing the bridle at her first gymkhana of the season. Some pretty leatherwork on a beautiful horse.

Finished up a small project this morning. Made a pair of bronc style nosebands for the pony ride horses at Robin Hood's Medieval Faire in Harwinton, CT. I absolutely cant wait to see them wearing these. The owner requested black and green as the colors, so I made them mirrors, making it even easier to tell the halters apart at a quick glance.

We are set up and running at the Torrington Renaissance Faire! Also, I can show off the complete dragon set I did. It'll be getting dropped off with the buyer this evening on my way home after the faire.

What a difference a little more than a decade can make. My mother recently asked me if I would make her a new sheath for a knife she often wears when she goes to Renaissance Faires. She wanted me to make one that matches a set of accessories she got from me, consisting of a belt, pouch, bracers, and a hair piece. The whole thing is all dragon themed in black and purple.

Well, the funny thing is, id already made a sheath for this knife. Was an early project, before I officially started making things for people. Im sitting here, looking at the new sheath, and I realized how far along in this whole journey I've gotten. I've tried new things, branched out into new types of projects, and improved my work a great deal. It's not often you get to see an old piece come back to you, but it did make me think.

Anyways, here is the old sheath and the new one next to each other. Funny enough, I used the same swivel knife and one of the same stamps on the new one. But, they could not be more different.

In exactly one week, come see us at the Torrington Renaissance Faire, at Camp MOE in Torrington, CT! We will be set up to vend and we will also be doing whip demos during the day! It was a fun event last year, and is even bigger and better this year!
